There were times when education on the territory of FSU was free and available for plenty people. In contradiction with nowadays situation when predominates private business. For Russian woman that time it was really important to have high education and they had got it. There is an opinion that whatever she is meant to be in the future- housewife or build career in another direction she has to have diploma that proves that she has her degree.

A doctor (in Russia or Ukraine)can be of very good qualification and education and get a paltry salary. The same time there is a very little possibility for a doctor (who has got and education on the territory of FSU) to become a doctor in the US or elsewhere in Europe. Russian economist in is not the same as economist in the USA. More often it is a clerk performing duties similar to those of an accountant. Most of women, interested in marriage with a foreign partner, are ready to change the profession or even stay home as housewives, dedicating themselves to the family, husband, children

According to economical situation in present FSU majority of women have to work. In many situations the main breadwinner in a family is woman. But they (women) work to get money inmost cases but are not that concentrated on career.

Many western men afraid of Russian female scammers based on one or two stories read on Internet. This causes problems of trust between western man and Slavonic women. But the same time western men do not give up an idea to marry Russian or Ukrainian girl. Many affairs happened because of imprudence of western men firstly. There is no bad nationality there are bad people.
Smart man always can “feel” female scammer. But now we are going to speak about normal ladies, with real desire to get marry with western man not because of green card or some material benefits.

They think (again because of the bringing up) that if man does not want to take care in small things he will not be able to take care of her in the future.
Slavonic women are very careful with money. They take almost complete responsibility of taking care of household. Because of unstable economical situation it is not possible to plan the family budget. So when she buys or orders something you do not approve do not take her as if she would waste money. She sees that there is money she can spend on something what is necessary or what she needs.
